Latin American Women Artists

A 25-minute history of women artists in Latin America from 1915 to 1995, commissioned by the Milwaukee Art Museum.
The full title on the program page is Latin American Women Artists 1915–1995. Hourglass Productions made it in 1995 to accompany the Milwaukee Art Museum exhibition of the same name. The page calls it the only comprehensive video on the subject.
It includes work by Tarsila do Amaral, María Izquierdo, and Frida Kahlo, and interviews with Fanny Sanín, Soledad Salamé, Elba Damast, and María Magdalena Campos-Pons.
The page ties the film to a wider audience discovering Latin American art after the release of the feature Frida, and argues for a film focused on women artists of the twentieth century.
The only comprehensive video on the subject.
